Leister Process Technologies has over 60 years experience in the development, production and worldwide distribution of technical products. The Axetris Division of Leister is a designer and manufacturer of microtechnology (MEMS) based components and modules. The product range includes mass-flow meters and controllers, infrared sources, laser gas detectors as well as micro-optics. Axetris offers a wide range of highquality off-the-shelf products as well as custom solutions for its OEM customers.

Our engineering and manufacturing team combines broad experience in design, simulation, fabrication and characterization from chip level to complex integrated electronic modules. Our manufacturing facilities in
Switzerland include a world-class class 100 clean room with state-of-the-art micro-technology processing capabilities. As a partner to our OEM customers we support them from concept to volume production.

Laser Gas Detectors

Our innovative laser gas detector (LGD) products originate from IR Microsystems, which was acquired by Leister Process Technologies in 2007 and has been fully integrated into Axetris.

The gas detectors target process control, emission & environmental monitoring as well as safety and air conditioning applications. Based on state-of-theart telecom-type laser diodes, the LGDs offer exceptional advantages compared to current gas sensor technologies and are offered to OEM customers as self-contained modules for continuous monitoring of gases like NH₃, O₂, CO₂, CH₄, and H₂O. They feature a patented, reference channel-free measurement principle, using Tuneable Diode Laser Spectrometry (TDLS). Axetris’ LGD presents a clear alternative to current sub-optimal detection solutions, combining unique advantages like high selectivity for the target gas, continuous sensor status monitoring, calibration-free operation, high long-term stability, long lifetime and low
cost-of-ownership.
